Our instructors are devoted to providing an educationally sound curriculum to allow access to leadership and safety training for our youth. Legionville offers a variety of safety education classes to include; Safety Patrol Training/Bus Safety, First Aid, Basic CPR, Canoeing Safety, Swimming Safety, Online Safety, and much more!

Safety Patrol
Our campers learn how to be a Safety Patrol Officer from one of our three Minnesota State Troopers. Instruction is given based on lecture, demonstration and practice. Campers also learn about bus and internet safety through lecture, DVD and demonstration.

First Aid
Campers will gain basic knowledge of First Aid techniques and procedures via lecture, DVD and demonstration. Campers are taught outine and emegency pocedures for situations like severe bleeding, shock and choking.

Canoe Safety
Campers learn skills to become safe canoeists and enjoy recreational canoeing. Terminology, proper techniques and safety methods are all part of the experience. Campers learn to work together to propel their canoe and what to do in situations such as a flipped canoe.

Swimming Safety
Our swimming program is divided into two sections. Swim instruction occurs during the morning class and each afternoon campers have recreational swimming. During class, the instructor demonstrates correct body position, arm and leg techniques and water safety and awareness methods.
